The Bayard Rustin Community Center and Thrift Store is named after civil rights activist, Bayard Rustin. Bayard was an indispensable force behind the civil rights movement alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and openly gay. Our center hopes to carry on his legacy of advocacy, education, queer liberation, and unity.The center is also home to Montgomery Pride United. A nonprofit c charitable organization which provides resources for underserved populations and advocates for the LGBTQ community.

The store is very eclectic and the staff are super courteous and polite. All proceeds are for a cause and the prices are mind blowing. Highly recommended
